The political climate around gender-affirming care is loud, chaotic, and frankly exhausting if you are living inside it. I want to be direct with you: Groundwork Health is here, I am not going anywhere, and I am not interested in making you justify your identity to receive good care.
Hormone therapy at Groundwork Health is offered under an informed consent model. That means we have an honest conversation about your goals, your health history, and what hormone therapy can and cannot do. Then we get to work. No gatekeeping. No lengthy referral chains. No proving yourself to a provider who has already decided what your care should look like.

Hormone Therapy
I work with patients across the full spectrum of gender experience, including:
Transgender women and transfeminine patients seeking feminizing hormone therapy
Transgender men and transmasculine patients seeking masculinizing hormone therapy
Non-binary and gender-diverse patients with nuanced or partial transition goals
Patients who are exploring hormone therapy for the first time
Patients who are already on hormones and need a knowledgeable, affirming provider to continue their care
Partners and spouses navigating a loved one's transition who want a provider for their own health

PrEP
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is one of the most effective tools available for HIV prevention. I prescribe and manage PrEP within your primary care membership, including baseline testing, ongoing monitoring, and prescription management. If you have been thinking about PrEP or have questions about whether it is right for you, that is exactly the kind of conversation we can have.
STI Testing and Treatment
STI screening and treatment are part of whole-person primary care. Labs are ordered through labs partners at transparent cash-pay rates. No judgment. No assumptions. Just care.
Primary Care
LGBTQIA+ patients deserve a primary care provider who understands their full health picture. Groundwork Health offers comprehensive primary care for all members, including chronic disease management, preventive care, care coordination, and more.
HOW HORMONE THERAPY WORKS
Informed Consent Model
You do not need a letter from a therapist or a referral from another provider to begin hormone therapy at Groundwork Health. The informed consent process means we review your goals, discuss the effects and risks of hormone therapy honestly and thoroughly, and you make an informed decision about your own care. That is it.
Initial Visit
We will review your health history, discuss your goals, order baseline labs, and build a care plan together. Most patients begin hormone therapy at or shortly after their first visit once labs are reviewed.
Ongoing Management
Hormone therapy requires monitoring. We will check in regularly, review labs, and adjust your protocol as needed. You will have direct messaging access to me between visits. No waiting weeks to ask a question.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions are sent to your preferred pharmacy or to a compounding pharmacy where indicated.

Hormone management without the barriers. GAHT Care covers everything you need to start and maintain gender-affirming hormone therapy: titration, monitoring, and labs. No registration fee

TELEHEALTH AVAILABLE ANYWHERE IN TENNESSEE
All services on this page are available via telehealth to patients anywhere in Tennessee. You do not need to be in Chattanooga to become a patient. If you have been struggling to find affirming care where you live, you are eligible to become a member.
In-person visits in the greater Chattanooga area begin in early 2027. Telehealth continues alongside in-person care for all members.
A WORD ABOUT AGE
Groundwork Health is an adult-only practice serving patients 18 and older. I do not provide care to patients under 18. If you are looking for affirming care for a minor, I am happy to help point you toward appropriate resources.

MY BACKGROUND
I have been providing gender-affirming hormone therapy for several years in primary care. I am currently working toward WPATH certification. I am not new to this work and I am not learning on your time.
I am also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I built this practice in part because I know what it means to want a provider who actually gets it.
