A note before we go further

The political climate around gender-affirming care is loud, chaotic, and frankly exhausting if you are living inside it. So I want to be direct: Groundwork Health is here, I am not going anywhere, and I am not interested in making you justify your identity to receive good care.

I have provided gender-affirming hormone therapy in primary care for several years and I am working toward WPATH certification. I am also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I built this practice in part because I know what it means to want a provider who actually gets it.

What I offer

  • Hormone therapy

    Feminizing, masculinizing, nonbinary, or partial goals. Starting for the first time or continuing care. If your goals don’t fit a category, we’ll figure it out together.

  • PrEP

    One of the most effective tools for HIV prevention. Prescribing, baseline testing, and ongoing monitoring are part of your primary care membership.

  • STI testing and treatment

    Screening and treatment as part of whole-person care, with labs at transparent cash-pay rates. No judgment. No assumptions.

  • Whole-person primary care

    Chronic conditions, prevention, and care coordination from a provider who understands your full health picture.

How hormone therapy works

  • Your first visit

    We review your health history and goals, order baseline labs, and build a plan together. Most patients start hormones at or shortly after the first visit.

  • Direct access between visits

    Message me with questions as they come up. No waiting weeks for an answer.

  • Labs and monitoring

    Regular check-ins and labs keep your protocol on track. Hormone-related labs are included in GAHT Care.

  • Informed consent

    No therapist letter or referral needed. We talk honestly about effects and risks, and you make the decision about your own care.

Medications are priced separately. GAHT Care members can upgrade to full primary care at any time, with the same provider. Telehealth is available anywhere in Tennessee and Georgia, with in-person visits in Chattanooga starting in early 2027.

  • A word about age

    Groundwork Health is an adult-only practice serving patients 18 and older. If you are looking for affirming care for someone under 18, I am happy to point you toward the right resources.

  • For partners, parents and allies

    A lot of people land here looking for care for someone else. Share this page with them. A partner or support person is always welcome at a telehealth visit if your loved one wants that. And if watching someone you love fight for decent healthcare has you rethinking your own, I take care of allies too.
