Nutrition Coaching

Every engagement starts with understanding you — your health history, your goals, your life.

Nothing is templated. Nothing is one-size-fits-all.

ONGOING COACHING

How It Works

Your first session is a 60-minute intake call. We cover your full health history, current eating patterns, relationship with food, goals, lifestyle, and anything else that’s relevant — including labs and medications if you have them. This isn’t a generic questionnaire. It’s a real conversation, and it sets the foundation for everything that follows.

From there we meet for 30-minute check-ins — weekly or biweekly depending on your plan. Each session is built around where you are right now, not a predetermined curriculum. Some sessions we dig into meal planning. Some we troubleshoot a specific challenge. Some we just recalibrate. It depends on what you need.

Between sessions you have access to me through Practice Better messaging. If something comes up — a question, a win, a rough week — you don’t have to wait until your next appointment.

What We Work On

Habit building and accountability — Sustainable change happens through small, consistent actions, not overhauls. We identify the habits that will move the needle for you specifically and build from there.

Personalized nutrition guidance — Depending on what works best for you, this might look like structured meal planning, flexible frameworks, or something in between. We figure that out together.

Food environment and grocery guidance — What’s in your kitchen matters as much as what’s on your plate. We look at your real food environment and make practical adjustments that fit your actual life.

Lab and medication context — As an NP with 10+ years of primary care experience I can read your labs and discuss how your nutrition intersects with your bloodwork and any medications you’re taking — including GLP-1s. This is something most nutrition coaches simply can’t offer.

Mindset and relationship with food — For many clients this is the most important piece. We address the patterns, beliefs, and history around food that make sustainable change hard — without judgment and without pretending it’s simple.

Testimonials

“When one of my athletes has a challenging metabolic issue, Kristin is who I call. I'd recommend her for athletes at any level and as an extra resource for coaches and their teams.”

- Lorraine H., Head coach, Empower Triathlon Training

"Starting at 175 lbs in March, I showed up at racing weight by October — 162 lbs at 11% body fat. If you want to stop guessing about fuel and perform at your best, I can't recommend her enough."

- John G., triathlete

"Without your education on my sweat composition, I never would have learned to properly manage my fluids, electrolytes, and salt. I would have continued with a brute-force approach and likely would not have finished the race.."

- Tom B., triathlete
